3 Legislature seats filled for possible Vegas stadium vote

RENO, Nev. (AP) — Three northern Nevadans, including a former Stanford University football player, were appointed Tuesday to fill vacant seats in the state Legislature for an anticipated special session to consider raising hotel room taxes in the Las Vegas area to help pay for a $1.9 billion NFL stadium that could attract the Oakland Raiders to the city. All three said after the Washoe County Commission approved their interim status that they have no preconceived notions about how they'll vote during the special session Gov.
