Boulder International Film Fest reveals 2017 schedule; tickets on sale

The 13th annual Boulder International Film Festival will open with the British World War II romantic comedy “Their Night” and close with the Boulder-produced environmental documentary “Chasing Coral,” which sold to Netflix last month after premiering at the Sundance Film Festival. In between, the March 2-5 festival will expand its venue footprint to accommodate a slate of 58 films amid a record 1,500 submitted or considered for the event, while growing popular programs like the food-focused CineChef, where local chefs create movie-inspired dishes, and the festival’s Longmont screenings. “One thing we learned (from 2016) is that people love the Longmont screenings,” said Kathy Beeck, who along with sister Robin founded and runs the festival.
