Movie Review: Tim Sutton’s “Dark Night” sheds little light on Aurora theater shooting

“Dark Night” Stars: 2½ (95 minutes, unrated) Indie director Tim Sutton begins “Dark Night” post-mayhem. A woman’s unblinking eyes register the flickering of lights. Viewers with knowledge of the movie’s subject matter might think, apprehensively, that the red and blue tones reflecting off her face come from a movie’s flashing images. But as the camera pulls back, we see that the blonde woman wearing a tank top with an American flag emblem is sitting on a curb in a parking lot.
