Studio Ghibli's Hayao Miyazaki Is Coming Out of Retirement

Hayao Miyazaki, the co-founder of Studio Ghibli and director of some of the most beloved anime films of all time, has once again announced he's coming out of retirement to direct a new movie. According to Little White Lies, Ghibli producer Toshio Suzuki confirmed in a pre-Oscars interview with Pixar director Pete Docter that the Japanese animation studio will be back to producing feature-length movies in-house, and Miyazaki will helm its first full-length CG-animated movie. Miyazaki's in-development CG project was originally conceived as a short film titled Kemushi no Boro, echoing a report that surfaced last year suggesting he may come out of retirement.
