The Houston-based company will move into a 74,793-square-foot showroom and an adjacent 340,503-square-foot distribution center developed by Transwestern Development Co. The company says it keeps prices low by importing furniture it designs under its own name and selling directly to consumers. In Katy, 99 Cents Only Stores occupies 746,000-square feet and Academy Sports & Outdoors has more than 1.4 million square feet of distribution space at its headquarters. "The completion of the Grand Parkway has been a game changer for the west Houston submarket," said Pete Johnston, senior vice president at Transwestern Development.
