What Bay area cities can expect when it comes to FEMA reimbursement after Irma

As crews throughout the Tampa Bay region collect mounds of debris following Hurricane Irma, cities are shelling out millions for unexpected expenses associated with storm damage. Those cities rely on reimbursement from the Federal Emergency Management Agency to restore their coffers. Cities will have to file claims with the agency within 30 days of the presidential declaration of a state of emergency.
