Attorney Jason Crow extended his fundraising advantage in the 6th Congressional District Democratic primary, while incumbent Republican Rep. Mike Coffman reported another substantial haul of his own in the latest campaign filings. All told, more than $700,000 poured into the suburban Denver race in the third fundraising quarter, setting the stage for what’s widely expected to be another bruising, expensive contest in 2018. A fifth-term congressman from Aurora, Coffman has beaten back Democratic challenges for years in a left-leaning district, which includes Aurora and parts of Adams and Douglas counties.
