Lawn games and beer at sunset, marshmallows roasting over an open fire. No, you’re not at a suburban campground. This is RiNo. And it’s Astroturf (but that’s close enough). Improper City in RiNo is holding a grand opening bash for its new 12,000-square-foot patio this weekend, with a free pig roast, free beer, live music and more. The outdoor space more than doubles the customer area of Improper City, which has a specialty coffee shop on one side of its 8,000-square-foot interior and a 46-tap bar serving craft beer, wines and draft cocktails on the other. “We’re basically creating a park in RiNo,” said general manager Ken Macias.
