Casual fans may only know Glen Powell for his superlative work as the cocky Hangman in Top Gun: Maverick, or from his successful rom-com teaming with Sydney Sweeney in Anyone but You. However, Powell has been a professional actor for over 20 years, and last week he was inducted into the Texas Film Hall of Fame during A Toast to Texas Film on May 16.
Kevin Costners Western epic Horizon: An American Saga Chapter One premiered at the Cannes Film Festival on Sunday, and led to a teary Costner apologizing to the audience for them having to applaud for so long. The movie received a rapturous reaction from the room following its premiere, with its standing ovation lasting over 11 minutes, and the actor/director responding with a humbled show of thanks for both the audiences appreciation of the film and the creative team behind it.
Dumb and Dumber is still remembered as one of the Farrelly brothers biggest hit comedies, and a big part of the movies success was down to the hilarious double act of Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels.
