Mission: Impossible 7 Production Halted Due to Coronavirus Outbreak

Mission: Impossible VII was set to shoot for three weeks in Italy but the production of the film has been put on hold due to the COVID-19 outbreak in the country. COVID-19 has infected over 200 people in Italy where six people have now died from the virus. According to The Hollywood Reporter, a spokesperson for Paramount Pictures confirmed that the Mission: Impossible VII production plan has been altered to include a hiatus as a safety measure for cast and crew. "Out of an abundance of caution for the safety and well-being of our cast and crew, and efforts of the local Venetian government to halt public gatherings in response to the threat of coronavirus, we are altering the production plan for our three-week shoot in Venice, the scheduled first leg of an extensive production for Mission: Impossible 7," a studio spokesperson told THR.
