“The Colorado Republican Party marked the start of Pride Month with a mass email attacking ‘godless groomers’ and a social media post calling for the burning of all Pride flags,” KUSA reports. “The state GOP’s move to the far right after a series of electoral blowout losses continued with some of its harshest anti-gay rhetoric in recent years.”

The plan includes using the appropriations process, legislation brought to the floor and Congress’s oversight authority to take on the Justice Department. Said Johnson: “All those things will be happening vigorously, because we have to do that, because the stakes are too high and because people are losing faith in our institutions.“

The Republican National Convention is set to be held in Milwaukee on July 15; however, the convention’s website featured a banner image of Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam for several months, WCPT reports.

Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) bashed Supreme Court chief justice John Roberts saying he hasn’t lived up to his responsibilities on ethics, Punchbowl News reports. Schumer says he’s meeting with Senate Judiciary chairman Dick Durbin (D-IL) on what steps they can take.
