Immediately after being ordered to report to court, he was defiant, saying "Merrick Garland, Lisa Monaco, the entire Justice Department, they're not going to shut up Trump, they're not going to shut up Navarro, they're not going to shut up Bannon, and they're certainly not going to shut up MAGA." Two things died recently. First, Republican dignity when Ted Lieu was done listing all of Trump's associates who are convicted felons--criminals--just like he is. And the best part, Lieu made sure to remind Trump whose choices it was that got him where he is, and he didn't do it nicely Second, Lieu also pointed out how Democrats like Bob Menendez and Hunter Biden have been pursued, again showing what a joke Republican claims are of a "rigged" Department of Justice.
