Driving on a segment of South Georgia Street will be more of a challenge beginning Monday, and the situation should last about seven months. That’s when Speiss Construction Co. of Mansfield will begin installing a new, 42-inch sewer line down the center of the street. For now, only the center lane will be closed for the project that will stretch from south of Wolflin Avenue to Southwest 26th Avenue, according to a news release. Crews will also be putting in an 8-inch line under Elmwood Drive and Southwest 28th Avenue from Wimberly Road to Crockett Street. read more
