Disney finally dropped the official title for Star Wars: Episode VIII with a relatively sparse announcement poster, but it's already the source of a lot of speculation. Beyond who the title, "The Last Jedi," is referring to, the color palette in the poster itself is causing people to take note.
The Last Jedi made its debut with a big, bold red "Star Wars" logo, which is a marked difference from the more friendly yellow used in The Force Awakens' announcement.
The nominees for the 37th annual Golden Raspberry Awards (aka the Razzies) have been announced, with both Batman v Superman and Zoolander No. 2 leading the nominations.
Zoolander No. 2 has nine nominations, including worst picture of 2016, Ben Stiller for worst actor and director, and Kristen Wiig for worst supporting actress.
Luke Skywalker actor Mark Hamill has expressed his fondness for the new subtitle, Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
Speaking with the Associated Press, Hamill noted the samurai feeling of the official name for Star Wars: Episode VIII.
"It's got a real samurai ," he said. "It's straightforward and minimalist, and I like that."
Now Hamill obviously already knew the name of Star Wars: The Last Jedi before today, but he mentioned that made him nervous regarding spoilers.
