A 31-year-old man died in custody at the Douglas County Detention Center on Thursday, the sheriff’s office said in a news release. A deputy delivering dinner to the man’s cell found him unconscious and not breathing at 5:05 p.m. and started lifesaving efforts, Douglas County sheriff’s officials said Friday.
