Several Denver city government buildings in the downtown area and Civic Center will be on modified operations next week as a safety consideration because of anticipated demonstrations. “Due to several anticipated demonstrations that could occur at the Colorado State Capitol” city buildings “will be open on modified operations schedules as a precautionary measure for the safety of city employees and the general public,” according to a news release from the Mayor’s Office. Additional safety measures are expected through Friday, the release said. “While city facilities will be closed during certain times, city service delivery will continue and has not been suspended,” the release said.
