  Don Mancini reveals more details about Child’s Play TV series Speaking at the 2018 Screamfest, writer Don Mancini along with producer David Kirschner offered more details about the forthcoming Child’s Play TV series which is still currently in development. Mancini confirmed that the series will be set right after the events of the 2017 film Cult of Chucky. RELATED: Child’s Play: The TV Series Confirmed by Don Mancini “We deliberately ended Cult with a bunch of cliffhangers to set up a TV series,” Mancini said (via Bloody Disgusting). “Because there are so many different threads now, television could best accommodate that so that was done intentionally.
