This past spring, Denver Bicycle Cafe co-owner Jessica Caouette was hopeful about the next stage of her 8-year-old business. She had repurposed the cafe’s adjoining beer hall into a full bar with a tavern license, hoping to provide more of a nighttime neighborhood hangout. The small patio out back played host to intimate concerts and events. But this week, Caouette and business partner Peter Roper announced they are closing both the newer Tandem Bar and Denver Bicycle Cafe at the end of the month.
