Already today we’ve heard of Christmas tree thieves, and now comes the news that not even 50-year-old Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer statues are safe, despite the giving nature of the season. Thieves made off with a statue that’s been a familiar face for 50 years to residents of a Los Angeles neighborhood, reports CBS Los Angeles. The 200-pound statue was believed to have been taken sometime Friday night from its spot atop a roof, with only a broken antler left behind to mark the crime. The president of the neighborhood’s Homeowner’s Association and her husband have been taking care of the wooden animal for years. “He’s been up there for literally 50 years and he’s one-of-a-kind.
