Fewer Swim Bans, Even If Bacteria High

Chicago beach-goers will be setting their own bacteria thresholds this summer, as the city's Park District does away with its frequent swim bans based on E. coli counts. Would-be swimmers still will get advisories as needed, but lifeguards won't stop people from wading into the water.
