Final Kendra Horn Town Hall Focuses On Covid Relief

By Chris CasteelStaff writerccasteel@oklahoman.comRep. Kendra Horn, who has held dozens of town halls since taking office in early 2019, held her final one on Friday, at least for her current stint in Congress, and heard from several people hoping lawmakers approve another COVID relief package soon. The Oklahoma City Democrat, who lost her reelection bid to Republican Stephanie Bice last month, gave no hint of her post-Congress plans, saying her focus now was on unfinished work in the closing weeks of 2020. “As for my future plans, I think that right now my primary focus is on making sure we get these critical things done before the end of the year,” Horn said. “That means passing our appropriations bills, making sure the government is funded, that means getting the defense authorization act across the finish line to make sure this important bill is signed into law and getting another COVID relief package that will help to address the needs of so many people. “And after that, we’ll see what’s next.” Horn held her 54th town hall virtually, through Zoom and her Facebook page, which has been her custom during the pandemic.Read more on NewsOK.com
