Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) came to Washington in 2011 with a reputation as a libertarian purist who put his principles above practicality. However, as David A. Fahrenthold writes in today's Washington Post, in recent years Paul has shown himself to be a bit more, shall we say, flexible on many of his past positions as he considers a run for the presidency in 2016.
