"The Fast and the Furious" scribe Gary Scott Thompson has setup the action-thriller "Champion" at Storyscape Entertainment and Pioneer Pictures. The original screenplay is based on real events and explores a centuries-old tradition within Thailand's prison system where inmates compete in state-sanctioned Muay Thai tournaments to win early release. The story an American locked up abroad who must learn Muay Thai in order to fight for his freedom.
