Gifts At Easter Are Latest Bridge Between Sacramento-area Muslims And Christians

To honor their Christian friends on Easter – a celebration of renewal – Muslim leaders in Sacramento will deliver 300 gifts at noon Saturday to The First Covenant Church in Rancho Cordova. Irfan Haq, reading from the Quran at the Salam Islamic Center, says that the giving of gifts from Muslims to members of the First Covenant Church is “a gesture of goodwill and a show of love and respect for our Christian brothers and sisters.”
