Helen Mirren lowers her voice to a whisper and her eyes take on a devious twinkle as she makes a confession:
When she has a really good time making a movie, as she did on "The Hundred-Foot Journey," she fears: "Oh my God, is it going to suck?"
Not only was the leadership top-notch — Steven Spielberg and Oprah Winfrey are producers; Lasse Hallstrom directs — the project allowed Mirren to make good on a lifelong dream.
Adding to the charmed project was its picturesque setting in the south of France ("You'd think you're in an ad for France, but it's all real," Mirren said) and nightly home-made meals by co-star Om Puri, who plays the patriarch of the Indian family.
Mirren said that when she sees movies or theater, she feels "blown away" by other actors' work and fearful of her own ability to execute.
" maybe (I've) got a project coming up, and then I get really nervous because I think, 'I can't do that,'" the award-winning actress said.
Bloomsbury has unveiled new covers for the children's editions of the Harry Potter books, showing off iconic scenes from each.
The covers, which you can see below, will start adorning editions of the books from September 1 and are designed by award-winning artist Jonny Duddle.
Though Rowling has always insisted she never had any plans to revisit Harry's story as an adult, last month she released a short story revealing what some of the fan-favourite characters have gotten up to since the final book in the series.
Whatever the case, the release of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them draws ever closer so, if this has whet your whistle for more of this magical world, you hopefully won't have long to wait.
Im not talking about teenagers, Im talking about ppl from all walks of life. I go to the movie by myself now because EVERYONE I know gets blitz, even the smartest and most mature peope I know do it. And I simply cant stand to be around it. All they want to see are dumb films with easy to follow plots that look "trippy" (Lucy being the most current).
