When Taiwanese carrier EVA Air, which Friday launched its nonstop service between Taipei and Bush Intercontinental Airport, promises your flight will have plenty of Hello Kitty, it is not kidding. Hello Kitty keeps you company in the bathroom with printed toilet paper, and helps you sleep soundly on a Hello Kitty pillow. For Hello Kitty fans and the otherwise curious, the plane is the latest addition to EVA Air's themed fleet of now seven planes that the company launched in 2005. Other carriers with co-branded planes include Alaska Airlines, with Disney characters such as Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and Donald Duck and Japan's All Nippon Airways, with the Pokémon franchise. In marketing the plane's arrival to Houston, EVA Air put Hello Kitty in a space suit to call in to NASA's Houston headquarters. In the last two years, the airport has welcomed Turkish Airlines, Air China, Korean Air, All Nippon Airways, Scandinavian Air, WestJet, Interjet, and Volaris.
