I-40 AT COORS GETTING NEW PAVING: This spring, crews will tackle the cracked pavement on the interstate through the Coors interchange. The project, expected to last through the winter, will “remove existing pavement (and) apply new pavement because the asphalt pavement has deteriorated” to the point that “cracking is visible along I-40 throughout (the) interchange,” according to New Mexico Department of Transportation spokeswoman Melissa Dosher. Some drivers likely remember the big interchange rebuild eight to 10 years ago.
