From Staff ReportsPutnam City West High School Principal Buster Meeks took part in the Ice Bucket Challenge during a senior assembly at the school. His wife, Pam Meeks, and daughter, Jessie Meeks, poured ice and water over his head last week to raise awareness and funds for the "A Cut Above" Michael Cutter Scholarship. Cutter, a former student and a football player during the 1982 4A championship season, was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's disease in 2016. Cutter and alumni of the class of 1982 presented the first $1,500 scholarship to senior football player Trey Gooch during the senior awards assembly May 3. Donations to the scholarship can be made to the Putnam City Schools Foundation.Read more on NewsOK.com
