Jeremy Irons Talks Alfred in Justice League & The Batman Whether you liked the movie or not, one of the best aspects of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was Bruce Wayne’s faithful (and opinionated) butler Alfred, as portrayed with fire and gusto by Jeremy Irons. Now that he’s wrapped his reprisal of the role in Zack Snyder’s Justice League, the Academy Award-winning actor has spoken to Variety about how big a role Alfred will play in both that film and Ben Affleck’s The Batman. “Similar, but then, of course, Ben’s going to make a Batman film next summer,” said Irons of the size of Alfred’s role.
