Johnson Controls Sells Property Management Business For $1.5 Billion

Johnson Controls Inc. sealed the deal with CBRE Group Inc. to sell its Global WorkPlace Solutionn business for $1.5 billion, the Glendale-based company said Tuesday. The Global Workplace Solutions division of Johnson Controls (NYSE: JCI) manages 1.8 billion square feet of corporate retail space. In September, the company announced that it would sell that division to focus on its manufacturing, engineering and product-based portfolio, which includes automotive seats and batteries. “This agreement…
