At the end when they needed to bring down the 3 Helicarriers it just occurred to me; in The Avengers Hawkeye effectively disabled and, without Iron Man's help, would have downed a Helicarrier with 1 arrow. While preparing for the mission why couldn't they have called up Hawkeye, put him on a helicopter, and 3 arrows later...Hydra finished!
