A federal grand jury returned a 14-count indictment against John Clifford Williams, of Kansas City, related to a $3.3 million fraud scheme. Williams, 65, convinced a victim known as "JM" to invest more than $8.6 million into a variety of companies he formed, and is being accused of spending or diverting $3.3 million for his own personal use between 2005 and 2014.
