Kurdish militia have captured a strategic border town on the route between the Islamic State-held cities of Raqqa in Syria and Mosul in Iraq as part of a three-front offensive launched to retake territory lost to the group over the summer, Kurdish officials said Tuesday. Kurdish Peshmerga fighters stand guard as they patrol the front line with the Islamic State group near the Rashad Bridge, which connects the provinces of Salah al-Din and Kirkuk, 290 kilometers (180 miles) north of Baghdad, Iraq, Sept.
