London Film Fest: Coming Up

I’m off to the London Film Festival for a few days. It’s my first time covering this fest, and I’m going because they’re flying me over. Friday night, they’re screening Precious. Gabourey Sidibe is the only one going at this point. Lee Daniels, who is profiled in this Sunday’s NYT Magazine, is sick, and may not make it for his Master Class on Saturday.

Kraven the Hunter Release Postponed Until December 2024

Sony Pictures Kraven the Hunter has been postponed. The film was set to be released at the end of the summer movie season, on Aug. 30, 2024, but has now been postponed until Dec. 13, 2024. That means it will take the place of Sony's Karate Kid reboot, which has now been pushed to May 30, 2025.

Another Evil Dead Film Announced With Francis Galluppi Attached to Direct

Earlier this year it was announced that acclaimed director Sbastien Vaniek would be directing the new Evil Dead spin-off, and just a couple of months after that announcement, its been revealed that yet another Evil Dead film is in the works, with Francis Galluppi attached to direct. Galluppi is making his feature film debut with The Last Stop in Yuma County, which releases on May 10, 2024.
