Maine House Rejects Extended Pot Moratorium

Members of the Maine House voted to reject a bill that would have extended a moritorium on marijuana sales until 2019. The bill, submitted jointly by Gov. Paul LePage and House Republican Leader Ken Fredette four days ago, was decided late Monday. Had it passed, the bill would have maintained the status quo, allowing personal pot consumption and home grows, but pushed back the date of recreational sales of marijuana to Jan.
