Last year came a rumor that not only would there be a Robin appearing in Zack Snyder's "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice," but that it would be female and akin to the version seen in Frank Miller's "The Dark Knight Returns" comic. At the time there were also rumors that Snyder's "Sucker Punch" star Jena Malone would be taking on the character as she was spotted on Detroit set for a brief period sporting red hair like the character did in the Miller comic. With the film's recent Comic Con trailer now confirming that at least one male Robin has died prior to the events of the movie, and offering no suggestion of a replacement, the talk of Malone's potential involvement has switched to another character. Latino Review claims to have heard from three different sources that Malone is playing Barbara Gordon in the film.
