Just saw "The Martian" and it was great. The general premise is that astronauts on a mission where something goes horribly wrong, like apollo 13 (a great tom hanks movie), and a man is forced to survive on his own, like cast away (also a great tom hanks movie), and then everyone risks their lives to save matt damon, like saving private ryan, (another great hanks movie) Leaving the theater, I started to realize some other connections.
