Metro Council approved a series of bills Tuesday targeting one of the city's most common forms of developer incentives. Sponsored by At-large Councilman Bob Mendes, the bills come as city officials face greater scrutiny and public pushback over the Metropolitan Development and Housing Authority's continued use of tax-increment financing, or TIF, to juice development during a time of unprecedented growth.
