Fewer Kansas schools met the math and reading targets of No Child Left Behind this year, the Kansas State Board of Education learned Tuesday. Of the 1,380 public schools that took the state assessment test in the spring, 81 percent of the schools made adequate yearly progress, compared with about 87 percent last year.
