By Kimberly BurkFor The OklahomanYUKON — Members of Mountain Smoke are inviting people who attend their concert Thursday in Yukon to bring along their used band instruments. The instruments will be refurbished by Larsen Music and donated to students in Yukon Public Schools by A Chance to Play, a nonprofit that gives instruments to kids who can’t afford them. “If you have it hanging on your wall or sitting in a case, there is a young person who would just be overwhelmed to get it,” said Hal Clifford, a longtime member of the contemporary bluegrass and country band.
