Ride Along This is a straight-up formula piece in the "48 Hrs." vein, with Kevin Hart as the funny guy and Ice Cube as the surly guy who are thrown together in a police car (this time in Atlanta) and end up on the trail of a mob boss. Hart is funny, and Ice Cube has an authentic presence, but the whole thing is so predictable that you could probably imagine the movie, or a reasonable facsimile, without bothering to see it. The Secret Life of Walter Mitty The charm of James Thurber's 1939 short story is completely lost in this morose, slow-moving, self-involved and tonally off film, about a dreamy, insecure man who goes on a personal quest.
