Ricky Gervais

Ricky Gervais, who has hosted the Golden Globes three times, has ruled out the possibility of returning for a fourth. He took to his blog to make the announcement saying, "I've told my agent to never let me be persuaded to do it again though. It's like a parachute jump. You can only really enjoy it in retrospect when you realise you didn't die and it was quite an amazing thing to do."

‘The Artist’ and ‘The Descendants’ Win Golden Globes

69th Golden Globes

Moviegoers looking to the Golden Globe Awards as Oscar forecasters should consider their bets hedged. “The Artist” was Sunday night’s big winner, taking home three prizes, including one for best comedy. But it was a photo finish with “The Descendants,” which won two awards, including best drama.

Senh: I'm surprised that "Moneyball" went home empty-handed.

Oscar's January Move: Academy Board Of Governors Discusses Moving Awards To January

I've just learned that, at tonight's Board of Governors meeting of the Academy Of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, members discussed moving up the 2011 Oscars to sometime in January. You read that right -- JANUARY! This would be a shocking change, not just because the ABC telecast of the 83rd Academy Awards would conflict with (or is it more like outfox?) NBC's competing Golden Globes broadcast. And bump up against the Super Bowl.
