White, who graduated from Prairie View A&M, coached at Beaumont's Dunbar Middle School, Charlton-Pollard High School, Beaumont-Charlton-Pollard High School and retired as head basketball coach at Central High School in 1996, according to his obituary. The Sweetwater, Texas, native finished his career with a record of 612 wins, 213 losses and no ties, ranking 69th on the list of The Most Winningest Texas High School Basketball Coaches.
