By Emma Crawford Kent Daily Journal TUPELO – The Pontotoc County School District spent Tuesday and Wednesday developing a strategic plan to address issues with funding, facilities and unity within the district. Members of the school district community gathered at the Pontotoc Ridge Career and Technology Center to discuss the school district’s strengths and weaknesses with the hopes of creating a long range plan of action for improvement. Brock Puckett, PCSD superintendent, said the last time the school district and community came together to set new goals was more than 10 years ago. “We know there are gaps between being a good school district and being a great school district, and we know you fix those gaps by bringing them to light,” Puckett said.
