Project Almanac, the Michael Bay-produced found footage time travel movie from director Dean Israelite, delivers a fairly enjoyable teen-adventure story, but doesn’t bring much to the table in terms of the genre. It feels obvious to say that this movie is Chronicle meets Primer. In fact, I believe that’s just how one critic described the film following Paramount’s early screening at San Diego Comic Con.
