Universal Pictures has picked up the fact-based drama "Breaking The Bank" from XYZ Films as a directing vehicle for "The Raid" helmer Gareth Evans reports Deadline. Based on a book by Howard Sounes and a Sports Illustrated article by L. Jon Wertheim, the story follows former UFC fighter “Lightning” Lee Murray - a mixed martial arts street brawler who masterminded the largest cash heist in history in England in 2006. Kerry Williamson penned the most recent script draft.
