Replacing Albertsons: Cash Saver Readies For Weekend Opening

Two stores, five days, 100,000 products.
The statistics describe the gargantuan task ahead of MAL Enterprises as it works to transform former Albertsons stores in Amarillo and Wichita Falls into Cash Saver Cost Plus outlets to be opened Friday.
“The big job is to re-tag all the product, because we are lowering the price on, really, every single item in the store,” said Jay Lawrence, president of MAL and its subsidiary Lawrence Brothers Supermarket Group.
