Back in 2004, John Kerry and George W. Bush squared off in their second debate. In one question, an audience member asked whether her tax dollars would be used to support abortion. Kerry gave a rambling, two-minute answer that ended with the affirmative. Bush stood up, walked over to her, and said directly to her, "Your tax dollars will not be used to support abortion." The next day was "Respect Life" Sunday for the Catholic Church.
