A group of Rochester citizens were recently awarded for their emergency preparedness. The City of Rochester Citizens Emergency Response Team earned the Michigan Citizen Corps' Team of the Year award at the State Citizen's Corp Conference in Traverse City earlier this month. More than 300 similar teams were considered for the award, according to a press release from the city.
