By Adam Kemp akemp@oklahoman.comJames Timberlake walked through the recreation center the day after being forced to close and was overwhelmed by the silence.The Santa Fe Family Life Center, normally bustling each day with the sounds of basketball games, workouts, swimming and adaptive sports programs, was closed for the foreseeable future as a part of state and city guidelines to help stop the spread of coronavirus.But Timberlake, who works as executive director of the center, said he just kept thinking about the mission of his gym, which is to improve the health of Oklahomans, and wondered if there was more he could do.“It was devastating having to close,” Timberlake said.Read more on NewsOK.com
